Hole 4 - Par 3 (Stroke 17)
The fourth hole at Polokwane Golf Club is the first Par 3 on the course and offers a brief but enjoyable test of accuracy. Ranked Stroke 17, it is considered one of the more approachable holes on the scorecard, but it still requires a precise tee shot.
From the tee, players are presented with a clear view of the green, framed by the natural bushveld surroundings that define the course. The challenge lies in selecting the right club and landing the ball safely on the putting surface.
Although relatively forgiving compared to the tougher holes ahead, the green is well positioned and demands a controlled shot to avoid missing in the surrounding rough or bunkers.
A well-struck tee shot here presents a great opportunity for birdie, while a steady two putts will secure a comfortable par before heading into the more demanding middle section of the front nine.
